“Over Edelweiss als merk en symbool van Oostenrijk”
Johanna Gschwandtl is ontwerpster en visueel onderzoeker, woont in Rotterdam en richt zich op typografie, drukwerk, bewegend beeld en visuele identiteiten. In 2022 studeerde ze af als Information Design Master aan de Design Academy Eindhoven. In dit boek onderzoekt ze hoe een eenvoudige plant, de Edelweiss, kon uitgroeien tot een nationaal symbool en beeldmerk van Oostenrijk.
Ze zoekt uit waar de Edelweiss nu precies voor staat.
Geprint in full colour met zilver.
Technisch gezien was het voor ons weer een leuke uitdaging. Het binnenwerk is per katern van 16 pagina’s om en om van verschillend papier. Het omslag en het binnenwerk zijn geprint in full colour en zilver. Mooi om te zien welk effect dat heeft!

Johanna Gschwandtl is a designer and visual researcher, lives in Rotterdam and focuses on typography, printing, moving images and visual identities.
Printed in full color with silver.
Technically it was another fun challenge for us. The interior is per quire of 16 pages alternately of different paper. The cover and the inside are printed in full color and silver. Nice to see the effect of this!
