As a professional photographer, artist or designer, a portfolio is indispensable. A portfolio allows you to present your best work to potential clients and customers. By having a professional photo book created, you show who you are and what your qualities are. At Jubels, we will work with you to create a beautiful photo book that creatively communicates your finest work to the outside world.
A professional photo book serves as a showpiece of your work. Therefore, it is important that it fits who you are and what you want to convey as a professional. You create a portfolio not only for yourself, but also for potential clients, customers and other interested parties. In other words, the photo book should not only contain your best work, but it should also attract and hold attention. By making the right choices with regard to selection, design, structure and finishing, you ensure a visually attractive whole. This way, anyone viewing your portfolio will see at a glance what you stand for as a professional.
The perfect portfolio is as surprising and compelling as an exciting novel. When designing your photo book, we therefore look not only at the selection of photos - do they actually tell something about you as a person, and is there enough variety? - but also the design of the portfolio.
The right design reinforces the mood you want to convey. For example, if you take black-and-white photos, then a minimalist design suits your style as a photographer. However, are you having a photo book made to present your artwork? Then striking colors and special graphics may be more appropriate.
Although a picture says more than a thousand words, the text in a professional photo book is also very important. Catchy text provides context and supports the message of your work. It is therefore important to also think about which text you want, and in which fonts. For a beautiful and professional result, we are happy to help you with this.
If anything is important to the look and feel of a professional photo book, it's the paper. The right paper will ensure that your photos look their best, with bright colors and accurate details. Which paper types are suitable for your photo book is a personal matter, but we are happy to advise you on this to bring out the best in your work. Glossy photo paper, for example, is perfect for photos with popping colors. The gloss on the paper also creates an interesting depth effect. Matt photo paper, on the other hand, is ideal for somewhat softer colors. The surface of the matte paper has a fine texture, which gives your photo book a professional and luxurious look. Another plus is that there are no fingerprints on the paper. Optionally, a combination of paper types is also possible, nothing is too crazy for us.
Are you a photographer, artist or designer looking to have your own professional-quality photo book printed? Then have your photo book made at Jubels. At our printing house in Amsterdam you can have the most beautiful professional photo books printed, where you can choose from numerous options to fully express your own style. For example, we have various paper types, binding methods, covers and printing techniques. You can also embellish your professional photo book with special graphics. Think of beautiful fluorescent colors, thermo ink, glow-in-the-dark ink or gadgets such as a reading ribbon or banderole. We are happy to think with you about the design and techniques that best suit your work. This is how we turn every portfolio into a professional, high-quality photo book.
