Living Kind is het afstudeerproject van Jan Visser aan de Academie Artemis Amsterdam. De vraag “Hoe kan ik als ontwerper iets betekenen voor de samenleving” stond hierbij centraal. In dit boek presenteert hij een nieuw maatschappelijk en duurzaam retail concept. Living Kind is een plan voor een fysieke winkel voor kwalitatieve betaalbare gebruikte designmeubels en accessoires van A-merken en een verzamelplaats voor kennis rond duurzame interieurs. De uitdaging voor dit concept was om een commercieel businessmodel op te zetten met een duurzaam karakter. Dat is zeker gelukt. Het hele plan is tot in detail uitgewerkt. Living Kind is Jan Visser’s graduation project at the Artemis Academy in Amsterdam. The question “How can I, as a designer, mean something to society” was central to this. In this book he presents a new social and sustainable retail concept. Living Kind is a concept for a real store for quality affordable used designer furniture and accessories from A brands and a gathering place for knowledge about sustainable interiors. The challenge for this concept was to set up a commercial business model with a sustainable character. That certainly worked out. The entire plan has been worked out in detail.
